Jaka kiša i grmljavinske oluje stvorile su poprilično apokaliptične prizore u Dubaiju - nebo je u jednom trenutku poprimilo zelenu boju, luksuzni automobili plutaju ulicama u bujicama vode, kupci bježe iz shopping centra koji se počeo puniti vodom, dok su vlasti istovremeno izdale upozorenje građanima da ostanu kod kuće, javlja Daily Mail.

Nacionalni centar za meteorologiju UAE, objavio je da će se nestabilni vremenski uvjeti nastaviti u regiji do srijede, uz snažne padaline i grmljavinsko nevrijeme. Poplavljena su mnoga područja Dubaija i Abu Dhabija, glavnog grada Ujedinjenih Arapskih Emirata, a policija i vojska je evakuirala građane u najteže pogođenoj pokrajini Ash Sharqiyah North, prenosi Jutarnji.

Od jutros je otkazano gotovo 50 letova iz Dubaija, ali nije moguće prometovati ni glavnim cestama, gdje su mnogi ostali zaglavljeni u svojim luksuznim automobilima koje su kasnije bili prisiljeni napustiti.

Kupci su također morali izaći iz podzemnih trgovačkih centara. Izdano je i upozorenje za sve stanovnike - da budu na oprezu i drže se podalje od područja poplava.

Vremenske neprilike dokumentirane su u stotinama videa i fotografija koje su objavljene na društvenim mrežama, ali jedan influencer je posebno privukao pažnju, nakon što je snimio kako je zapeo u svom Rolls Royce automobilu jer je voda odjednom poplavila cestu.

Na drugom dijelu grada, snimljena je bujica vode koja se slijeva sa stropa u trgovine i stanica podzemne željeznice Onpassive koja je također poplavljena. Putnici su bosi gazili kroz vodu kako bi izašli van. Nebo iznad Dubaija, tijekom poslijepodneva se zamračilo dok su munje bljeskale, povremeno dodirujući vrh Burj Khalife, najviše zgrade na svijetu.

Vlasti su poslale cisterne na ulice da ispumpaju vodu. ali neka područja zabilježila su više od 80 milimetara kiše, približavajući se godišnjem prosjeku od oko 100 milimetara. Kiša nije uobičajena u UAE, ali se povremeno javlja tijekom hladnijih zimskih mjeseci. Zbog toga mnogim cestama nedostaje odvodnja u slučaju poplava.

Oluje su se spustile na Dubai, Bahrein i područja Katara nakon što su prošle preko Omana, gdje su izazvale smrtonosne poplave. U Kuvajtu je Meteorološka služba također upozorila na nadolazeće grmljavinske oluje i savjetovala javnost da ostane na oprezu.

Jaka kiša i grmljavinske oluje stvorile su poprilično apokaliptične prizore u Dubaiju - nebo je u jednom trenutku poprimilo zelenu boju, luksuzni automobili plutaju ulicama u bujicama vode, kupci bježe iz shopping centra koji se počeo puniti vodom, dok su vlasti istovremeno izdale upozorenje građanima da ostanu kod kuće, javlja Daily Mail.

Nacionalni centar za meteorologiju UAE, objavio je da će se nestabilni vremenski uvjeti nastaviti u regiji do srijede, uz snažne padaline i grmljavinsko nevrijeme. Poplavljena su mnoga područja Dubaija i Abu Dhabija, glavnog grada Ujedinjenih Arapskih Emirata, a policija i vojska je evakuirala građane u najteže pogođenoj pokrajini Ash Sharqiyah North, prenosi Jutarnji.

Od jutros je otkazano gotovo 50 letova iz Dubaija, ali nije moguće prometovati ni glavnim cestama, gdje su mnogi ostali zaglavljeni u svojim luksuznim automobilima koje su kasnije bili prisiljeni napustiti.

Kupci su također morali izaći iz podzemnih trgovačkih centara. Izdano je i upozorenje za sve stanovnike - da budu na oprezu i drže se podalje od područja poplava.

Vremenske neprilike dokumentirane su u stotinama videa i fotografija koje su objavljene na društvenim mrežama, ali jedan influencer je posebno privukao pažnju, nakon što je snimio kako je zapeo u svom Rolls Royce automobilu jer je voda odjednom poplavila cestu.

- Moj Rolls Royce je poplavljen i zapeli smo nasred ceste u Dubaiju. Baš kao i svi moji kripto prijatelji, danas sam pod vodom - rekao je poduzetnik Jordan Welch.

Na drugom dijelu grada, snimljena je bujica vode koja se slijeva sa stropa u trgovine i stanica podzemne željeznice Onpassive koja je također poplavljena. Putnici su bosi gazili kroz vodu kako bi izašli van. Nebo iznad Dubaija, tijekom poslijepodneva se zamračilo dok su munje bljeskale, povremeno dodirujući vrh Burj Khalife, najviše zgrade na svijetu.

Vlasti su poslale cisterne na ulice da ispumpaju vodu. ali neka područja zabilježila su više od 80 milimetara kiše, približavajući se godišnjem prosjeku od oko 100 milimetara. Kiša nije uobičajena u UAE, ali se povremeno javlja tijekom hladnijih zimskih mjeseci. Zbog toga mnogim cestama nedostaje odvodnja u slučaju poplava.

Oluje su se spustile na Dubai, Bahrein i područja Katara nakon što su prošle preko Omana, gdje su izazvale smrtonosne poplave. U Kuvajtu je Meteorološka služba također upozorila na nadolazeće grmljavinske oluje i savjetovala javnost da ostane na oprezu.
